Activities at the Evergreen Club

The Evergreen Club organises regular activities as shown below. Our activiities are primarily, but not exclusively, for the benefit of our local senior citizens. Some are run by our own volunteers with professional teachers, others by Dublin City Council or other third party groups. Activities are run each week except when the hall is closed at Christmas, Easter and during July and August. There is a small fee, usually €5, for each session.

Bridge - Social and Classes Tue 2pm

Come along and enjoy informal social bridge or, for a small extra fee, avail of the bridge tuition which runs concurrently. Tuition provided by professional bridge coach Peggy Vaughan. Beginners welcome!


Bridge - Monday Night Bridge Club Mon 7.30pm

Bridge for all levels, run by St.Mary's Bridge Club. All welcome.



Art Classes Mon 12pm and Thur 2pm

Develop that latent artistic talent with help from a professional artist. Watercolour or oils, pastels or pencils, work at your own pace with this small friendly group. Classes run by City of Dublin Education and Training Board. Cost €50 for 10 week term.


Chair Aerobics (Extend Classes) Fri 11am

Seated recreational exercise classes to music, suitable both for the older person or those with limited mobility. Gentle exercise designed to minimise the risk of injury. Run by Dublin City Sport and Wellbeing Partnership in conjunction with Dublin City Council.

Pilates Mon 10am, Wed 6.30pm, Thur 7.30pm, Fri 9.30am

Traditional floor based pilates.

Thursday 7.30pm session is run by Dublin City Sport and Wellbeing Partnership in conjunction with Dublin City Council.

Monday 10am session is run by City of Dublin Education and Training Board and is a structured programme. Cost €50 for 10 week term.

The other sessions are run by third party professional pilates instructors and are open to all. Costs may vary.


Dance For Life Tue 11am

Contemporary dance classes for older adults. Come and have fun and meet new people while keeping fit. Run by Dublin City Sport and Wellbeing Partnership in conjunction with Dublin City Council.

Men on the Move Thur 6.30 - 7.30pm

A men only physical activity programme. Classes are free admission! Run by Dublin City Sport and Wellbeing Partnership in conjunction with Dublin City Council.

Parent and Toddler Group

Run by and for local parents, this is a chance for those with young, pre-school children to meet up for a coffee and chat. There are plenty of toys, and space to play with them and with little friends!


Artz for Kids Mon 4.20pm

After school club focussing on childrens' creativity and helping to release art anxiety. Run by Artz For Kids for children aged 6-12. Professional art teachers, all garda vetted.

Community Support Group Wed 9.30am

An opportunity for those from Ukraine, or who have fled from other regimes, to meet up and socialise with kindred spirits. No charge.


Terenure Men's Shed Wed 2.30pm

Weekly discussion meeting of the Men's Shed in the Hall. However please note that the Men's Shed group also meet at other times in their dedicated shed to the rear of Evergreen Hall, more details here.
